BRENNAN ELIZABETH PETERS - WRITER
Brennan Elizabeth Peters is a New Orleans screenwriter and filmmaker. She graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with degrees in Psychology and English: Film and Digital Media and was a 2013 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Award recipient as well as an Alumna of The Point Foundation. She is currently a Screenwriting Fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory. As an artist, Brennan is passionate about her craft and the authentic representation of women and other underrepresented minorities.
Her first feature, PERRY & EMILE -- about an impoverished single mother living in New Orleans -- won the 2013 Jury Prize for Best Louisiana Feature at the New Orleans Film Festival. Her feature screenplay HOUSE OF WISDOM -- the tale of three Muslim girls seeking an education in ISIS-controlled Iraq -- won the 2014 Sloan Screenplay Award at AFI and has been selected to compete for the 2015 Tribeca Film Institute Sloan Student Grand Jury Prize.
